Aida Serrano

Aida Serrano of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away at home at the age of 96 on July 26, 2024 with her loving daughter Mildred and son-in-law Jose by her side.

 She was born Aida Rivera Roman on March 15, 1928 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Aida graduated high school and began her nursing studies with the U.S. Cadet Nurses Corp. in Bayamon, Puerto Rico until 1948 after which she obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse and began her nursing career which spanned from 1950s in Puerto Rico and New York until she retired in 1989. 

 Aida Serrano was a devoted wife to her husband, Rafael Serrano Torres, who was laid to rest in 2012. She was the most beloved mother to her 4 children Ralph, Gloria, Mildred and Juan Carlos as well as the treasured mother-in-law to Sandra and Jose and loving grandmother to Jonathan, Angelyce Alexis and Quaun.

 Aida is also survived by her remaining adored sister and brother Eva and Jesus and brother and sister-in-law Hiram and Graciana as well as her cherished nieces and nephews.
