Bernadette M. Leo

Bernadette M. Leo, 74, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away August 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving children and cousins. She was born on May 14, 1951 in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Adeline (Dybalski) Seremet. Bernadette worked at Chemical Bank and HSBC before starting a career as a secretary in the Lockport City School District. Bernadette shared her life with her husband, Nicholas for 54 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being around her grandchildren. Many special memories were made with family and friends; whether it was camping, going to Walt Disney World, or sharing a meal. Her greatest gift in life was the love she shared with all. Her smile lit up the room and made all feel at home.

Bernadette leaves behind her children, Nicholas (Crystal) Leo III of Grand Island, NY, Christopher (Tanya) Leo of New Auburn, Wisconsin, and Madonna (Christopher) Walker of Lockport, NY. She was the loving grandmother of Nicholas, Jaelyn, Haley, Madeline, Dominic, Andrew, and Gianna, and great grandson, Elias. Bernadette leaves behind her sister in laws, Mary (Robert) Wenum, Karen (James) Kawalec and Michelle Leo. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Nicholas J. Leo Jr., her parents, Edward and Adeline Seremet, and brother in laws Joseph and Michael Leo. In addition, she leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist in Lockport, NY on September 25, 2025 at 10am with internment in the Western New York National Cemetery.
