Betty Rose O'Melia

BETTY ROSE CARLUCCI O’MELIA passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 88 in Brooksville, FL. Born in Jersey City, NJ where she grew up before marrying James E. O’Melia, Jr. on June 10, 1956. She was the business owner of Countrytime Fruitbaskets and Gourmet Foods in Edison, NJ, a homemaker, mother and devoted wife. She volunteered as an EMT and volunteered as Treasurer of the South Plainfield (NJ) Rescue Squad. She moved to FL with her mother where she resided for several years, raising her children and traveling with the Happy Wanderers. She was a volunteer with Hospice, Spring Hill Regional Hospital and St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.

She is predeceased by her husband, James E. O’Melia Jr and her parents Nicholas & Dominica Carlucci, her daughter Susan E. O’Melia, her brother Philip Carlucci and her nephew Keith Carlucci. She is survived by her daughter Sharyn O’Melia, her niece Carolyn Carlucci and her grandchildren Jennifer Erickson, Sara Beth Holbrook, Christopher O’Melia-Munn and Jason O’Melia.
