Brian David Foley, born July 7, 1957, died July 13, 2025
Brian‘s life ended much too soon, but if you were to ask him, he would say he accomplished everything on his wish list. He married his high school sweetheart, Joanne, and had a wonderful son, Jason. While he was in the Air Force, he visited amazing places and was stationed in two wonderful locations, Oahu, and South Florida. After being discharged from the Air Force, he and Joanne moved back to Michigan. He went to college while he was working full-time, earning his Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, and worked in a profession he loved, for 25 years, as a Police Officer.
After he retired at 50, Brian and Joanne moved to Florida, built their dream home, bought a boat, and enjoyed a fabulous life together. They took road trips all over Florida, and most of the states around them, one of their favorite places to visit, was to St. Augustine. Their last trip this past spring was on a cruise to the Bahamas. Brian loved being on or near the water, and looked forward to spring break when his aunts, uncles, and cousins came to visit.
Brian is survived by his wife, Joanne, and son Jason, his sisters, Janene Paetow(William), Colleen Monasevitch (Paul), Maureen Becker, Mother-in-law, Lillian G Verrall, Sisters-in-law, Sheila (Bill) Byberg, Vanessa (Jay) Roush.
Brian has many nieces and nephews that he loves, and cousins, aunts and uncles that he stayed connected to throughout his life whom he cherished.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, David and Kathleen Foley, sister Joanne (Annie) Foley, father-in-law Kenneth F. Gordon, and brother in law Kenneth Michael Gordon.
Brian will be remembered for so many things, but mostly, for his sense of humor, for being kind, patient, and loving to his family, and willing to do anything to help anyone in need.
He will be missed tremendously.
