Catherine Rose Ralston

December 30, 1960 — August 15, 2023

Spring Hill

Peacefully, the beautiful Catherine Rose Ralston went home to be with Father God and angels. Her last earthly battle was with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. The passing occurred in the early morning of August 15, 2023. She was born on December 30, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her late father George Ralston, mother Jane Ralston, late son Jonathan Ralston, and daughter Kenberly Ralston residing in Spring Hill, Florida.

Catherine’s studies consisted of CNA and LPN schooling. She also did a 1-2 yr Biblical missions program. She worked in adult and Pediatric nursing homes as well as Pediatric ICU units. The spread of her showing God’s love always shined through in her acts of service and helping others. She was that person who would give you the shirt off her back and more. If there was a need that had to be met, it would be done before you could ask.  For a number of years, she was a Sunday school teacher, active with VBS (Vacation Bible School) programs, and an AWANA leader. She took over the Stamps Ministry, passed it on to her chosen church family (Fellowship Community), and always found ways to make or give out Gospel tracts.

Cathy was a sports fan and enjoyed collecting memorabilia of the Rays, Buccaneers, The Lightnings (FL), Phillies, and Flyers (PA). She was fond of bears, frogs, and the Star Wars series. She knew a lot about cars and dreamed of a 1950s-era baby blue Mustang. Some music artists/bands she enjoyed were Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Chris Tomlin, Newsboys, and Toby Mac. A variety of her favorite foods were traditional sandwiches: Italian, roast beef, or Philly cheesesteak. She enjoyed a good entrée of ribs, too! If you see a Zaxby’s, she should definitely come to mind. Treats consisted of anything milk chocolate, fudge, and saltwater taffies on occasion. Cathy was always creative with preserving memories. For a time, she did artwork with crocheting. She took pride in taking many pictures and saving pamphlets. The wonderful scrapbooks she made with these treasures held the history of family, close friends, places, and events. She also made cards for birthdays, holidays, and more.

Cathy was a wonderful daughter, mother, and friend. She even became a grandmother to her daughter’s first cat Cynder! Her loyalty and love remained unmatched. You could always count on her to show up on time. Cathy knew how to have fun; if you got a taste of her sarcasm or raw, unfiltered humor you were appreciated. The other side of her could be feisty; there was never any hesitance in backing down from injustice or protecting those you love. She never feared being human. She is someone who reminded you to be present, relish in the simple things, and to always be genuine. There were times when she’d forget to put herself first but now she is finally having all she deserves and more in the arms of Jesus.

**Donations- Instead of flowers, one of Cathy’s wishes was to have donations be made out to Marliere Hospice House. They can be mailed to:

6081 Rowan Road

New Port Richey, FL 34653.

If you wish to give online, you can click this link: https://www.chaptershealth.org/foundation/hph-hospice-donation/

Please make sure to Designate to Marliere Hospice House and within the "In Honor Of," section, put Catherine Ralston.

If you are coming to the Memorial and have the chance, we would like to request you bring a painted rock. It could be done with your own artistry, found, however! This is not a requirement but would be much appreciated =)

Thank you for all your support and love! -The Ralston Family
