Cory Gilbert

Gilbert, Cory, 24, formerly of Spring Hill, died June 26, 2017 in Wayland, New York. He was a graduate of Springstead High School, class of 2011, where he played running back on the football team. He enjoyed working on cars, motocross, playing football, and being a dad. He was strong-willed young man who loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Lori Gilbert and Paul Kiger, son, Hudson Gilbert, companion, Tiffany, brothers, Jessy and Arron, Aunts, Kelly, Jet, Jodi, Kathy, Wendy, and Trish, Uncles, Tom, Jim, Mike, Ronnie, and Chris, cousins, Sarah, Desiree, Jack, Katie, Ryan, Cassie, Brittny, and Pagie, and Grandmother, Betty. A memorial service will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 12, 12pm. The family will receive visitors one hour prior. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So he put His arms around you And whispered “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, As you slowly slipped away. And though we loved you dearly, We couldn’t make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, Your tired hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
