Cynthia Ann Austin

Cynthia "Cindy" Austin Atkinson, 66, passed away at her home in Hudson, Florida, on June 1, 2026.

Born on April 1, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, Cindy lived life on her own terms. Independent, intuitive, and spiritual, she enjoyed the simple things in life, especially time spent at the beach and a good cup of coffee.

Cindy spent many years as a stay-at-home mother before pursuing a career in nursing around the turn of the century. Nursing became an important part of her life, and she continued working as a nurse until her passing.

In recent years, Cindy had the honor of caring for both of her parents during their final years, providing support and comfort when they needed it most.

Cindy is survived by her children, Jennifer Park, Courtney Austin, and James Austin and his wife, Nichole Austin. She was the grandmother of Charles, Jacklyn, Alice, Steven, Abigail, Samuel, Ava, Callahan, and Declan. She is also survived by her siblings, Rob, Paul, and Michelle (Mickey).

She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Rilda Atkinson.

Cindy will be remembered for her independent spirit, her years of service as a nurse, and the life experiences she shared with family and friends.
