Daniel J. Killoran departed this earthly life on November 9, 2020. Danny is survived by his loving family: children Christopher Killoran, Milissa Rywelski, and Amy Killoran Thomson; daughter-in-law, Anna; sister, Betty Kaczenski; grandchildren, Anna, Roger, and Folk; and an abundance of nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna; brother, Joseph Killoran; and sisters, Patricia Hall, Ellen Small, and Ann Killoran.
Danny was a US Navy Veteran. He served as a New York City Firefighter for over 33 years (a proud member of NY Rescue Company 1 for the majority of those years). Danny was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. Passionate about travel, Danny's time at home was spent planning for his next cruise or road trip. Fiercely independent, he had been looking forward to hitting the road again to see his kids (whom he frequently touted as being trouble-free and never the source of any headaches). Nothing was more important to Danny than his family. He was full of satisfaction for, and often amazed at, the life he helped build for himself and those he loved. Everything he needed, he had found.
Danny will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Services will not be held at this time. In lieu of travel or flowers, donations can be made to the FDNY Foundation (https://www.fdnyfoundation.org/).
