Dominic was a pioneer in the field of Chiropractor. He moved from Brooklyn in the early sixties and was one of the first Chiropractors to establish a practice in Suffolk County.
To compensate his growing family, Dominic taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Science at Hauppauge School District.
He was very active in community organizations while residing in Hauppauge. He was also president of his community in Bretton Woods, where he resided. He was very instrumental in acquiring areas in Hauppauge to establish industrial sites. This decision was one of the key factors in helping to keep Hauppauge very desirable for it's low tax base.
He graduated from St. John's University and continued his studies at N.Y.U. and Palmer School of Chiropractors. He also spent three years in the seminary studying to become a catholic priest.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army from March 17, 1954 to February 1956.
Upon retiring, he was a snowbird and spent twenty years as a snowbird going between Long Island New York and Florida. While in Florida, he was a very active member in the Long Island Club, Italian Club, Snowbirds, Republican Club, Newcomers, Brooklyn Club and many other active groups.
