Elaine M. Freund

Elaine Freund went home to the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Elaine was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived in McHenry, Illinois until 1980 when she and her second husband Swede Freund (deceased 2008) moved to Brooksville, Florida. She is survived by 5 children; Richard Justen and wife Mary; Sharon Green; Guy Justen and wife Michelle; Tammy Horn and husband Bill; and Sheila Powers. Elaine has 8 grandchildren; Dawn Kujak, Eric Justen, Marc Justen, Al Johnson, Shannon Johnson, Elizabeth Horn (deceased 1988), Aleyse Horn, and Ben Powers. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and her brother Ron Fredricksen, who lives in Michigan with his wife Linda. Mom loved to bowl, dance, and golf, and in her later years often played cards. She lived life to its fullest, and loved her family more than life itself. What our family will miss about her is her loving smile, warm heart, and generosity. She was the best mom, grandma, and great-grandma anyone could ask for, and we know that she is happy in heaven with the Lord, which is what brings us peace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Elaine's name to the American Heart Association. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00PM at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, 3369 Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill.
