Eleanor Rodgers Fleming, a resident of Spring Hill, Florida and formerly a long time resident of New Windsor, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 94. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The daughter of Edward and Muriel Lane Rodgers, she was born on September 30, 1920 in Muskegon, Michigan.
She and her husband, James F. Fleming, who predeceased her in 2005, were over 30 year residents of New Windsor and members of St. Joseph’s Parish in New Windsor, N.Y. She retired after 20 years as financial secretary for St. Joseph’s Parish in New Windsor before moving to Florida.
She is survived by two daughters Barbara Theriault and husband Richard of Brooksville, Florida, Kathleen Curtin and husband Chris of Lakewood, Colorado; two sons, James Fleming and wife Angela of Austin, Texas, David Fleming and wife Sandy of Fontana, California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, one grandchild, parents and one sister.
Interment of cremated remains will be in the family plot at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. There will be no graveside services.
A Memorial Mass for family and friends will be celebrated at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Florida at a later date.
