Genevia Ewald

Genevia “Genny” Bower Ewald, 86, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, FL. passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 12, 2014. A memorial celebration of her life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on July 18th at the First United Methodist Church in Hudson, Florida. Born on July 1, 1928 in Salisbury, MD., she was the daughter of the late Ammon and Eva Bower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 13 siblings. Genny graduated from Church Home and Hospital, Baltimore, MD. in 1948 with a certificate in nursing. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Donald Henry Ewald; daughter, Gayle and son in-law Bruce Smith of Annapolis, MD; and 3 grandchildren, Kristin and husband Michael Gallagher of Annandale, VA; Staci Smith of Boston, MA; and Sean Smith of Toledo, OH.
