Genevieve McBride

McBride, Genevieve "Jenny", 88, of Brooksville, passed away November 13, 2015. She was a resident of High Point for over 30 years, participating in many clubs and activities, including the Quilting Club, and the High Point County Club, where she was an avid golfer and won several awards. While a member of Stafford County Club in New York, she achieved the golfer’s dream of a hole-in-one, twice. She and her late husband, Robert, were longtime members of First Presbyterian Church in Batavia, New York. She is survived by her sons, Robert L. McBride, William F. McBride (Linda), Thomas R. McBride (Terry Alwardt), daughter, Kathrine Horgan (James), 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery. A life celebration will take place Saturday, November 21 at High Point Country Club at 1:30.
