Grace Elizabeth Klein, who just days ago celebrated her 90th birthday, passed quietly away after a short illness. Originally from Binghamton, New York, she married Robert Malarkey, her high school sweetheart, right after high school. She played the violin in high school and in her early twenties, she played for the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. In 1957, she met her husband, Ward (Bud) Fuller and made Syracuse New York their home. Having been a successful business woman for many years, she retired early to spend quality time with Bud until his passing. After several years as a widow, Grace married Dr. Harold Klein and continued living in Syracuse until he passed. Leaving New York twenty years ago to take care of her beloved sister, Mary Jane “Janie”, she made Brooksville, Florida her home. Being a devote Episcopalian all her life; she was very active in many aspects of the church.
She is survived by her only child, Robert (Susan) Malarkey Jr. of Virgil, New York. Grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Malarkey III, of Grovetown,Ga., Daniel (Kate) Malarkey of Perth, Australia, Jessica (Brian ) Mcauley of Long Beach, NY and Amanda (Anil) Nair of Houston, TX, and great grandchildren, Ryder Paul Malarkey, and Hector Einstein Malarkey; her nephew, Thomas Buffum of Minoa, New York and her niece, Alice Koukides of Minoa, New York.
