James V. Bellflower

JAMES (JIMMY) V. BELLFLOWER 3-27-41 TO 10-24-16 Jimmy Bellflower 75, of Glen Lakes, Weeki Wachee, FL passed away at home with his life partner, Mary Ann (Mak) Kaiser at his side. Jim was born and raised in Robersonville, NC. Upon graduating from high school in 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years as a flight radio operator while assigned to U.S. Naval Air Stations Weapons Testing Command Division. Upon leaving the Navy, Jim went to North Carolina State University where he received a B.S. Degree in Engineering in 1967. Jimmy was employed with Square D Corporation, an electrical manufacturing and supply company for 29 years until his retirement as VP of Sales in 1996. He performed electrical consulting work for 4 more years prior to final retirement to Glen Lakes in 2000. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Juanita, his wife, Shirley Wommack Bellflower of GA. and his older brother Glen of CA. Jimmy is survived by his two children, James V. (Jay) Bellflower, Jr. Janet V. (Jan) Nabors and her husband Jim, three grandchildren: Jenna, Dustin and Anna, and a great-grandson Aiden all of SC. Also surviving Jim is his step-son Douglas Pettigrew and his wife Christy and granddaughter Alexandra, living in GA., his sister Etta Mae Moore of NC and his brother Robert (Jerry) Bellflower of FL. Jimmy was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He will be dearly missed by his family, many friends and golfing buddies. Arrangements have been made through Pinecrest Funeral Chapel in Spring Hill, Fl and inurnment will take place in Milledgeville, GA. A memorial service will be held at the Glen Lakes Country Club at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Weeki Wachee High School – Golf Team or People Helping People in Hernando County.
