WILD, JAMES PIERCE, 87, of Spring Hill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2014, after an extended illness. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to John and Lucile (Pierce) Wild. Jim served in the US Navy in the Panama Canal Zone in WWII, and later pursued a career in electronics with RCA Corporation and then Northern Telecom, from which he retired in 1985. Originally from Indiana, Jim was drawn to Florida and moved the family there in 1962, starting out on the east coast and eventually settling on the west coast in the Brooksville and Spring Hill area. Jim and Margaret worshiped at Christian Church in the Wildwood. James is survived by his bride of nearly 65 years, Margaret Wild; his son and daughter-in-law, William and Barbara Wild; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Gregg Malott; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Karl) Funderburg, Daniel (Tammy) Wild, Brooke (Adam) Borkowski; Jeff Malott; five great grandchildren, Brittany Wild, Sarah Funderburg, Matthew Wild, Carrie Wild, and Emily Borkowski. He was preceded in death by his second son, James P. Wild, Jr. A memorial service will be conducted at Christian Church in the Wildwood, 10051 Country Road, Weeki Wachee on Saturday, March 8, 11:00AM with Pastor Dave Pardue officiating. The family suggests donations to HPH Hospice or a charity of your choice.
