John Henry Grover left this world to meet the Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Brooksville Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years old. He was born in Elmira Heights, NY and at the time of death was living in Spring Hill, FL. He is survived by his loving wife and “Angel” of 66 years, Norma Tucker Grover. John was preceded in death by his mother Iva Grover and father, John Hazelton Grover. His life was blessed with three sons and their spouses, John (Marlene) Grover, Robert Grover, and Richard (Jacalyn) Grover. Along with his children the light of his life was his grandchildren, J.J. (Marisa) Grover, Aubrey (Jeremiah) Badell, Corina (Scott) Smith, Jill Grover, Michelle (Jason) Filer, Kelli (Bob) Sewell, and twelve Great Grandchildren, J.R. and Henry Grover, Sophia and Micah Badell, Ashleigh, Kyle and Brendan Smith, Miranda Grover, Isabella and Olivia Filer, Riley and Olivia Sewell. John loved his family and friends dearly and was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed all types of sports. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #449 and #529, the Elmira Elks Lodge, and First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill, FL.
Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home; 3369 Mariner Boulevard; Spring Hill, FL on Sunday, January 20 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill; 9344 Spring Hill Drive at 8:30 a.m. followed by a military burial at the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
