Erskine, Karen K. was born in Tampa, Florida on October 19, 1962. She went to her heavenly father on January 9, 2026. Karen is preceded in death by her father, James E. Erskine Jr. and Grand parents, John and Nelle Lessig. Also James Sr. and Mabel Erskine. Her Uncles Wayne Lessig and David Erskine. Karen is survived by her mother, Phyllis Lessig Erskine.
There are many friends and relatives that will miss her spirit and spontaneous ways. Just as I, her mother, will hold her memories with me forever.
Karen was a graduate of H.B. Plant High School with honors and was editor of her senior year school Annual. She also was a graduate of the Georgia Tech School of Architecture with honors and received a years scholarship to Paris, France in study restoration of historic structures. After graduation she worked in Tampa, Florida then accepted a position in Pasadena, California.
She was always “moving on” with her education and life. Karen had a definite love of animals and was once told by her mother she was a “Dog Whisperer”. She became a gifted instructor and started seminars for teaching dog training. Which she was quite successful and was selected #2 trainer and educator in the United States.
Karen was so very gifted and could never “sit still”. She went on to advance her education with a Psycho Therapy degree. Unfortunately she did not complete her degree due to 8 years of declining health issues.
Family and friends were always very important to her and she was quite protective of them. Over the years her faith in the Lord never ever wavered. Wherever she was the Lord was there with her and now she is with him.
Joshua 1:9 The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Per Karen's requests there will be no funeral services or memorial services at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to a favorite charity.
Special acknowledgments to Wayne and Gelsie Lessig, Kenneth Ryden, Timothy Murray, Hospice and staff at Elevated Estates, Brooksville, Florida, and James Caffee.
