Kathleen Mary Cahill peacefully passed away on November 20, 2025, in Spring Hill, FL at the age of 75. Kathy was a cherished partner, mother, grandmother, friend and colleague whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on January 18, 1950, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Kathy lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. She graduated from Greenfield High School and held degrees in Education from Syracuse University (BS) and the University of Connecticut (Masters). She was known for her dedication to her career, which included being a teacher, a service coordinator for the intellectually disabled and a guardian. Kathy loved traveling, the beach, crossword puzzles, playing trivia, Dunkin iced coffee, her grandchildren and all animals, especially her dog Ziggy. She always gave selflessly and inspired others through her actions and character.

Kathleen is survived by her partner Edward Magee of Spring Hill, FL, her daughter Jennifer McCoy of Cropseyville, NY, and her sister and brother-in law, Joanne and Robert Donovan of Fairport, NY. She is also survived by a nephew, Tim Donovan, a niece, Kari Strefelt, five grandchildren (Ryleigh Hampton, Jaiden Henry-McCoy, Cameron Milanese, Izabella Retos and Kathryn McCoy), two great nephews (Michael Strefelt and Thomas Strefelt) and many close friends. All will forever cherish the memories and the legacy she leaves behind.

Celebrations of Kathy’s life will take place in Spring Hill, Florida, and in Greenfield, Massachusetts in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Cancer Society or the ASPCA in Kathy's memory.

Kathy's presence will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
