WEIER, LAWRENCE LEONARD (Larry), Spring Hill, entered unto his Lord Jesus Christ’s presence March 17, 2017, at the age of 85. A native of Newport, KY; NHS ‘49, Univ of KY ‘53. Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. First Lt., Infantry, US Army, chief instructor, combat skills. Sr. Vice Pres., (Ret.), Cincinnati Blue Cross Blue Shield (now Anthem). Served on and chaired numerous professional, civic and charity boards. Named a Kentucky Colonel, a Rotary “Paul Harris Fellow”, proclaimed “Cincinnatian of the Day” and honored by Ohio’s governor for his work on behalf of the Amer. Lung Assn, Twice Co-Chair of WCET’s annual Action Auction fund-raiser for public TV, exceeding a million dollars each year.
Predeceased by parents, Lawrence and Florence Weier, his loving and beloved wife of 55 years, Betty Ann (nee Fulton), and brother, Russell. Survived by son, David, daughter, Judith (James) Voelker, son, Steven, brother, Jerry, David’s three sons, precious friend, Betty Ann Barnhart, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He bequeaths them his eternal love and God’s blessings.
Viewing will be this Wednesday, Mar. 22, at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, 3369 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34609, from 10:00AM to noon. Funeral services in Cincinnati at convenience of the family.
