Tresness, Lynne (Sonny), AKA Noodleman, of Nobleton, FL, died March 11, 2017 under the care of Sturgill Hospice Care Center, Brooksville, FL.
Sonny was born on August 23, 1932 to Lynne and Mary (Clements) Tresness on the family homestead in the town of Little Rice/Nokomis Wisconsin. He married Gertrude Hipke on May 28, 1955 in Gleason, WI. He worked for GTE/North as an installer/repairman for 32 years. His many hobbies included bird watching, canoeing, and making homemade noodles, cookies and caramel corn to share with friends and family. He also made made wooden spoons from exotic wood.
Sonny is survived by his wife and their 5 children: Dennis (Joyce) in Apache Junction, AZ, Bill (Cindy) in Land O’ Lakes, FL, Sue (Jeff) White in Riverview, FL, Eric (Gladys) in Tomahawk, WI, and Douglas (Lynn) in Tomahawk, WI; brothers Gordon (Patti) in Bend, OR and Donald (Arlene) Puyallup, WA; 5 grandchildren,; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He and Gertrude also had 13 foster babies.
Cremation services were handled by Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, Spring Hill, FL. No services were held at this per Sonny’s request.
