In Loving Memory of Michael

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael, a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew, who left us on September 2, 2026. Born on June 1, 1980, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael was the cherished son of Janet Franks and the late Richard Palmer.

Michael’s life was a testament to the strength of family bonds. He was a devoted brother to Sarah and Vanessa, and a treasured nephew to Joanne and Carl, Lynne, and Bobby and Theresa. His grandmother, Andrea, and great uncle, Eugene, held a special place in his heart. Michael was also a caring uncle to Kaitlyn, Paul and Stephen, and great nephews, Jackson and Cooper.

From a young age, Michael exhibited a keen interest in mechanics, which led him to study automotive mechanics and welding technology. His dedication and skill in his field were only surpassed by his deep faith in God and the love he held for his family. Michael’s warmth and kindness extended beyond his human family to his beloved cats, Oreo and Peppery, who were constant companions in his last few months of life.

Michael is predeceased by his father, Richard Palmer, and his grandfather, Robert Franks Sr. Their memories and legacies lived on in his heart and actions.

Michael's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain with us in the memories we cherish and the love he shared.
