The Lord called Patricia Shiley Hottel home on Thursday September 14, 2017. She is at peace now and no longer suffering. Pat was a loving wife for 60 years to Jim Hottel, loving mother to Carl Hottel (Donna Brooks- Hottel), Christine Lord (Christopher Lord), and Karen Millea (Tom Millea), loving sister to Barbara Rinker and Jim Shiley (Susan Weaver Shiley), loving Grandmother to Adam Lord, Timothy Lord (Kristina Ribaric Lord), Benjamin Lord, Rebecca Lord, Lisa Hottel Torza (Tre Torza), Daniel Millea, Catherine Millea, and a loving Great-grandmother to John Arthur Torza IV with another on the way from Kristina and Timothy Lord. She was described by those who knew her best, as the ultimate planner of exotic family trips to various destinations around the world, including every continent except Antarctica and 45 out of the 50 states. She was also known to be an incredible seamstress, an avid gardener, a Sunday School Teacher, a member of Mariner United Methodist Church and a member of Yasmin Shrine Guild. Above all else, however, her family will remember her best as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother! The visitation will be 1:00, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Mariner Methodist Church. The service follows at 2:00 with a reception immediately afterward. Mariner Methodist Church is located at 709 Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill, FL 34609, 352-596-0080. She will be cremated and then interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a future date.
