Paul Millard Jackson

Paul Millard Jackson, 88, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Brooksville, Florida. He was born on February 6, 1938, in Winthrop, Maine, the youngest of six children born to Millard and Mary (Dudley) Jackson.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Earlene Jackson, who passed away on September 19, 2024.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff (and his wife, Annie) and Chris; and his grandchildren, Ryan and Kelsey.

Paul dedicated his professional life to education and mentorship. From 1962 until his retirement in 1999, he taught Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus at Cape Elizabeth High School. Beyond the classroom, he was a respected and successful coach, leading Cross Country, Track, Tennis, Basketball, and Golf teams over the years. His teams earned several Maine state championships, and generations of students and athletes benefited from his guidance, discipline, and mentorship.

Following his retirement from teaching, Paul spent several years volunteering with Saint Vincent de Paul in Spring Hill, Florida, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others and serving his community.

An avid golfer, Paul was a longtime member of several golf clubs in Maine and Florida. Golf was one of the great joys of his life, and a passion he cherished sharing with Earlene. He took great pride in passing his love for the game down to his son Chris and grandson Ryan, creating a multi-generational bond on the course that will be fondly remembered.

Paul leaves behind a lasting legacy through his brilliant mind, his love of sports, and the profound impact he had on his students, players, friends, and family.

His unwavering devotion to those he loved remained evident throughout his life and into his final days. He will be fondly remembered for his warm storytelling, quick wit, and the joy he brought to so many through a well-timed joke and generous spirit.
