Robert Currie Gill

Robert Gill of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2023. Bob was an extraordinary athlete, coach, father, friend, and husband. He was well known for his humor and wit and made sure those around him were in the best spirits. He was born in Kalamazoo Michigan the son of John W and Margaret C Gill.

He graduated from University High were where he was a star Tennis player, and attended Western Michigan University. He was later inducted into the Western Michigan Hall of Fame.

For many years both in Michigan and Florida he continued to teach private tennis lessons, and then picked up the sport of pickle ball where he and his former tennis partner Mike Goodrich were national runners up in age group doubles.

Bob leaves behind his loving daughter Denise Gill and her Fiancé Todd Dentico, nephews Joe & John Gill, and brother-in-law Jeff Brown and his wife Sandy, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his late wife Phyllis, and his brother Don Gill.
