Ronnie D. Bailey

“Beatle Bug” of Weeki Wachee passed away on Friday, February 16th at Oak Hill Hospital. He was 67 years old. He was born on February 12, 1957 to Ralph and Anna Bailey in Elkhart, Indiana.

Ronnie was born & raised in Elkhart, Indiana. As he grew up he made a name for himself as “Beatle Bug”. He ran & operated his own tree business for over 30 years. He was the best at climbing trees and running chainsaws. He was well known for his mullet & cut off shirts. Everywhere he went, he would buy a t-shirt. It told a story of all the places he had been. Ronnie knew how to party & everyone loved him. With his bright blue eyes & handsome smile, he was sure to leave an impression on everyone he met. In his later years  of life he retired and moved to Florida. There, he ran a stump grinding business on the side where he earned the nickname “Stumpy Ron”. He was a good friend who would help anyone out. He worked hard & did well in life. He loved gardening & sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. Florida was his happy place!! His grandkids were his pride and joy.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bailey, his mother, Anna Bailey, and his brother, Bud Bailey. He is survived by his brother, Robert Bailey, his sister, Phyllis Metzger, and his three daughters, Andrea Bailey, Lisa Bailey & Rachelle Bailey. He’s also survived by his grandkids, Alexandrea, Mikaylah, Anayelli & Eli.

Ronnie will be remembered as a loving father, brother, cousin, and friend who made everyone feel special in their own unique way. To know him was to love him. He accepted everyone & never judged anyone! He was a very well liked man who lit up the room. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
