In Loving Memory of Shawn Piasecki
Shawn Piasecki, 38, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Brooksville, Florida. He was born on August 5, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan.
Shawn fought courageously through his health struggles, holding on with incredible strength and determination. Through it all, his greatest motivation was the love he had for his family, especially his children.
Anyone who knew Shawn knew he was the funniest person in the room. He had a gift for sarcasm, a legendary ability to roast the people he loved, and a sense of humor that could make even the hardest days a little brighter. Whether he was cracking jokes, giving someone a hard time, or making everyone laugh until they cried, Shawn had a way of bringing people together.
He was also known for giving the best hugs in the world—hugs that made you feel loved, safe, and like everything was going to be okay. His smile could light up a room, and his laugh was absolutely contagious. Shawn had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for, and those who knew him will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Megan Piasecki; his precious children, Braelynn Piasecki and Corbin Piasecki; his mother, Kimberly Patton; and his father, William Patton.
He is also survived by his sisters, Raechelle Piasecki, Brittany Chasteen, Christie Piasecki, Natalie Piasecki, and Chelsea Patton, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his humor, kindness, and love.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that Shawn is no longer suffering. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter he brought into our lives, and the love he leaves behind in his family.
