Thomas Joseph Gamble, 78, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on December 21, 2023. Born on September 26, 1945, in New York, New York, he was the ultimate Gamble - a man who lived life to the fullest and never played it safe.

Thomas, or Tommy as his loved ones affectionately called him, had a personality that was larger than life, just like his love for the Philadelphia Eagles. Fly Eagles Fly!

Tommy's journey began in the world of football, where he founded the Morrisville Little Bulldogs and became the ultimate coach and cheerleader for his son Michael. He had a knack for being the center of attention and his passion for the game was as unstoppable as a charging linebacker. But Tommy wasn't just a football fanatic, he also had a heart that chugged along like a well-oiled train.

Following in his father's footsteps, Tommy became a 2nd generation Railroader, working and retiring from Conrail and even making a stop at US Steel. His love for trains was on track throughout his life, and he couldn't resist passing down his railroad legacy to four generations of Gambles. Talk about keeping the family business chugging along!

When he wasn't coaching football or working on the railroad, Tommy found joy in his hobbies.

Woodworking and classic cars were his creative outlets, but his true masterpiece was being an incredible father and a legendary Pop Pop. His love for his wife Lola, whom he cared for with unwavering devotion for 41 years, was the fuel that kept his heart's engine running.

Tommy leaves behind a team of loved ones who will carry on his legacy. Survived by his wife Lola-Claire, sister Patricia (George) Gamble, brother James (Marianne) Gamble, and his children Michael (Jill) Gamble, Christine Church-Meyers (Philip), Thomas (Lisa) Gamble, and Robert (Kim) Gamble, he also leaves a lasting impression on his grandchildren Jenny, Michael, Devon, Brittany, and Ryan. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Joseph, mother Alice, and brothers Donald & Lorretta Gamble and Robert & Barbara Gamble.

Although Tommy's whistle may have blown its final toot, his memory will continue to echo through the lives of those he touched.

Services to celebrate Tommy's remarkable life are in the works and will take place at Holy Trinity in his hometown of Morrisville, PA. A gathering after is being planned, so, stay tuned for the play-by-play details for immediate family and friends. The Pinecrest Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Florida, is assisting the family with these arrangements, ensuring that Tommy's final journey is as smooth as a well-oiled locomotive.

As we bid farewell to Tommy, let's remember his vibrant personality, his love for the game, and his zest for life. May his spirit continue to inspire us to take risks, chase our dreams, and always remember that life is one big gamble.
