Timothy Patrick Long

Timothy Long passed away on July 26, 2023 in his home in Spring Hill. Tim was born October 29, 1961 in Lawrence, Ma. He grew up in North Andover, Ma. with his parents Daniel and Louise (Marrs) Long, his brothers Tom and Dan and his sisters Maureen and Kathleen. He graduated from North Andover High School and immediately joined the Air Force after graduation.

Tim was to spend many years serving in the military. After 8 years in the Air Force , stationed at Castle Air Force Base, Ca he met and married his wife of 38 years, Cindy and had a son, Christopher. The family moved to Florida where they remained for many years in the t.Petersburg/Clearwater area.

After moving to Florida, he became a machinist but soon joined the Army National Guard. In 2001 he became full time National Guard. During his time in the Guard he served in Afghanistan and Kuwait. He retired in 2016 and worked part time at Florida Discharge Machining the company where he began his career. Tim thought of the Army and the soldiers he served with as his second family.

Tim loved airplanes and enjoyed nothing more than dragging Cindy and Christopher to every air museum he could on their travels together. He would always have a love of Military History. After retirement he liked to travel with Cindy and his happiest times were sitting at home next to his pool enjoying the Florida weather.

Tim will be missed by the many people whose life he touched. Cindy and Christopher will always have many happy memories of Tim and will always have a piece of their hearts with him.
