Spring Hill

Vaughn E. Miller passed away on January 23, 2024, after a brief illness in Spring Hill, Fl.  He was born in Waverly, NY on December 24, 1948.   He was raised on a dairy farm in Sayre, PA.  The family moved to Venice, FL in 1959.  Vaughn attended high school in Venice where he met his high school sweetheart and future wife Sheryll, whom he was married to for 56 years.  They were blessed with a son Robert and daughter, Melissa.  The family moved to Denton, TX in 1974.  He worked several years for Xerox Corporation before switching to the automotive industry.  They spent 40 years in Denton, enjoying their family and terrific friends.   There were so many wonderful times during the years in Denton, including camping in Turner Falls with their children and friends, special events, and get togethers with family and friends.  Vaughn played softball for years before his knees gave in, and then he began bowling.  It was a lovely time in our lives.  He loved to travel and see new places.  Many great trips to places like Taos, Galveston, Cruises to Mexico, Gulfport, NYC, Boston, St. Thomas, and other places.  Vaughn loved doing NY Times crossword puzzles and playing card games on the computer, something that was a daily occurrence.  Vaughn is survived by his wife Sheryll, his son Robert and his wife Toufie, his daughter Melissa and her husband Max, his grandchildren Erin, Ashley, Cole, Tyler, and Matthew, his Great Grandchild Rylynn and his sisters Erma Olenick and Charlene Blackburn, and numerous nieces and nephews.  We had joy, we had fun, and we had seasons in the sun.  Vaughn will be greatly missed for the rest of our days!!!
